What is included

A dated and labelled image pack that identifies photographed areas. We do not diagnose defects, certify condition or specify repairs: the interpretation remains with you or your appointed specialist.

Shoreham / Brighton City Airport

Airport restrictions around Shoreham

Properties around Shoreham, Lancing, Southwick and nearby areas may be affected by Brighton City Airport’s Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ). Drone photography can still be possible, but advance permission may be required.

We check your property's postcode before confirming a quotation. Where an ATC application is needed, we explain the charges and likely lead time before proceeding.

Our application fee: £60 plus authority charges at cost. If permission is granted and we complete your photography, £35 is credited back — reducing our net administration charge to £25.

For planning, please allow at least seven days for a Shoreham-area permission request. Approval is not guaranteed; additional notice may sometimes be required.

Why we're showing this

The shaded shape illustrates how an airport FRZ may combine a central area with runway extensions. It is not to scale and does not represent Shoreham's exact boundary. Please use the official live map above to check a particular address.

When permission is refused

Our £60 application fee covers agreed preparation, submission and liaison work. If approval is refused, there is no £35 completion credit and any already-incurred third-party charges remain due, subject to applicable consumer rights.

Allow time for ATC

Please enquire well ahead of your preferred appointment date. As a planning guide, allow at least 7 days for Shoreham-area applications, although approvals and timing are not guaranteed and rules vary by authority.

Weather and safety

Flights depend on safe weather, lawful access and airspace approval. Weather-related postponements can be rearranged without a rescheduling charge.

Useful to know

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide a professional roof condition report?

No. We provide aerial photography rather than professional roof or structural condition reports. However, our practical engineering background gives us an eye for details that may warrant a closer look. If we notice something unusual or potentially concerning, we will aim to capture additional close-up photographs, where safe and achievable, for you or your appointed roofer or surveyor to assess. We do not diagnose defects or recommend repairs.

Can you fly anywhere?

No. Each site requires an airspace and safety assessment. Airports, other restrictions, people, site access and local surroundings may limit what can be photographed.

Can I request images of a particular problem?

Yes. Tell us which areas matter and we will explain what can realistically be captured from a lawful and safe position.

When will I receive the images?

We'll confirm the expected delivery time in the quotation. Priority delivery can sometimes be arranged for an additional fee.
